Paranormal Conferences
This page will be updated from time to time as we learn of new conferences. If you know of one you want included, send me an email with a link.

I went to Univ-Con last October and had a great time. This year some of the featured speakers are:

Ryan Buell - If you watch the tv show "Paranormal State" then you already know that he is the star of the successful tv show. He spoke at last year's conference and I thought he did well. He also showed the first episode of his television program at the conference.

Dr Michael Shermer - This one was somewhat of a surprise considering that he is one of the more famous skeptics of anything paranormal. Dr Shermer founded the Skeptics Society and is the current editor of the magazine "Skeptic".  It will be interesting to see what he has to present

Keith and Sandra Johnson - Keith along with his knowledge and skills is simply a great person to talk to. I went to his class on demonology at last year's conference and learned a lot. Keith seemed to always be the first to say hello to people and really listened to what they had to say. His brother was at the class too and surprised me by adding humor to the subject. There seem to be so many people that claim to know about demonology, the difference is that Keith really does. If you get the chance to take his class, do it.

Lorraine Warren - Where do you begin when you start to talk about Lorraine Warren?
She has been involved with so many different aspects of the paranormal. Most recently I've seen her on the Paranormal State televisoon show. At last year's conference she was nice enough to stay after her lecture to talk to anyone that needed her advice. Her lecture was very interesting last year and I have no doubt it will be this year as well

The TAPS Family Convention

If you know anything at all about ghost hunting, you've seen the incredibly successful tv show Ghost Hunters. This convention covers most anything you could want to know concerning ghost hunting.
There are many great guests at this year's convention, here are some of the people you won't want to miss:
Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson - The show could not have happened without these two personalities. They work well together and have not let the tv show change them at all. I met them both in Richmond a few years ago at a conference. They were scheduled to speak on Sunday, but stopped by the hotel lobby on Saturday mingling with those of us that had come to the convention. They told stories, patiently listened to some, and just came across as decent guys to be around. Their talk on Sunday was entertaining and informative. By simply hanging out with some of the average unknowns for a little while at the convention, they gained fans for life.
Steve Gonsalves - Steve is another star from the Ghost Hunters tv show. He will be at the convention to meet with fans. Steve is the Technical Manager for The Atlantic Paranormal Society, and a great one at that.
Patrick Burns - Patrick founded Ghosthounds and is very smart when it comes to EVPs. He will be participating in a ghost hunt during the convention. If you have EVPs questions, Patrick can help you.
Keith Johnson - Keith is list on the convention page as "World Famous Demonologist and investigator". He gives a very good lecture and is patient enough for those that are new to the subject. If he offers a class or lecture, don't miss it.
John Zaffis - John will bring some interesting items from his museum for you to view. He also a Demonologist and will be giving a lecture. John knows his subject well and I enjoyed his book that came out a couple of years ago.
The list of smart and interesting people goes on and on for this convention. Log on to their site and see for yourself.
